Jeanie and May: A Road Trip Play title

When Jeanie and May face eviction from their home, they seek freedom on the open road. Together, they traverse the backroads of Canada with spirit guide Jack Kerouac, author of On the Road. This play explores what happens when you hold on to the past and when you let go.

Jeanie and May: A Road Trip Play is E.M. Morton’s first full-length
play to be produced in New York.   Jennifer Sandella is artistic
director of Random Access Theatre, where she directed Pinwheel!, a
2015 nominee for Outstanding New Musical at the New York Innovative
Theatre Awards.

Author:  E.M. Morton studied playwriting in England and has had plays
produced at festivals across New York City.

A Brooklyn based theatre artist with a foundation in classical text
and performance. Jennifer began acting at the age of seven, growing up
in New York’s Greenwich Village. She pursued her love for the theatre,
earning a BFA in Theatre Performance (Shakespeare focus) from Hofstra
University. While acting professionally she discovered a passion and
talent for directing and producing her own work and traveled to London
to study at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (MA - Text
and Performance/Directing Pathway). Since returning to the States she
has been working as the Artistic Director for Random Access Theatre
(www.randomaccesstheatre.com) and directing independent projects,
including new works and musicals, in New York City. Recent directing
projects include: Rosmersholm (The Old Stone House/Random Access
Theatre), The Taming of the Shrew (Brooklyn Bridge Park: Shakespeare
at Sunset), Save the Robots (West Village Musical Theatre
Festival/NYMF), Friends Scream for 2 Days (2014 NYC DADA Festival)
Reach  (DreamUp Festival, Theater for the New City), Anthem,
(Directed/Adapted, Random Access Theatre, NYC), The Shape of Things
(Estrana Theatre Co., NYC), Subway Savant, A New Musical (Dramatists
Guild, NYC) Highway Blue – A New Play with Music, (world premiere -
Manhattan Shakespeare Project, NYC), Nesting, (world premiere - Token
Collective, WalkerSpace, NYC). Jennifer is an associate member of the
SDC, a 2015 resident artist the The Drama League, an assistant
director on the 24 Hour Plays (Broadway and Musicals, NYC) and a
