Carson and Huston is about a meeting between novelist and playwright Carson McCullers and film director John Huston. Huston invites her to visit him in Ireland. He is half joking as she is in ill health from a stroke. McCullers, to his surprise, takes her up on the visit. Her black caretaker, who she has known all her life, refuses to let her go. McCullers is determined to go. She refuses to go out as an invalid and says she will go, “even if it is the last thing I ever do.”
