Pandemonium title

Written by: Claude Solnik
Directed by: Tony Chiofalo

There’s a knock on the door of a suburban house one rainy night. Two children look and see Peter Pan and then Captain Hook on the doorstep. We follow the characters and the family who discover these figures, as the parents decide what to do with them. Enter a girl who just happens to be named Wendy and there’s some romance in the story of Peter and Hook in the “real” world. When an unscrupulous rare book collector decides to make money from these celebrities, we see how reality becomes more complicated than living the same story every day. Will Peter and Hook thrive in the real world or end up overwhelmed? A play about finding and writing your own story, something we all must do, but this one involves Peter Pan, Captain James Hook, Wendy and, of course, Tinker Bell.

Much love to his wife, Kami - It is always a pleasure sharing our creative passion of theatre together.

Claude Solnik (playwright) is a journalist and playwright whose work has often been presented at Theater for the New City, although this is his first “children’s” play or play for the whole family. One of his plays was named among the top ten of the year by Theaterscene.net. He is grateful for TNC for providing a place where new work is welcome.*
