Bio
Playwright bio:
Amy Losi is an actor, director, and playwright based in NYC. She has acted in ninety plays, in both lead and supporting roles. She has also appeared in commercials, TV, independent
films, and a long-running sketch comedy show at the Broadway Comedy Club. Her plays have been selected for eighteen festivals, and won nine awards. Her Zoom comedy "Don't Stand Up!" won the 2020 Spirit of the Hartford Fringe Festival award. She won "Best Female
Screenwriter" (Cutting Room International Short Film Festival) and "Best Female Centre Film" (Philadelphia World Film Festival) for the filmed version of her play, "No Fall My Hand." Her full-length plays premiered at Theater for the New City and American Theatre of Actors in NYC.

Laurie Rae Waugh (Director) began her theatre career in NYC in 1980 first as a Stage Manager and then as a Director in 2001. Laurie has since directed over 60 plays. She has also received several
Director Awards from American Theatre of Actors and is one of their Resident Directors. Laurie’s recent ATA credits include: “Love’s a Thin Diet” by Amy Losi and “¡POOF!” by Sarah Vindigni
(2025), “Hang Up Your Cleats” by Ken Coughlin (2024), and “My Mother’s Bookie” and “Billy” by the late Irving A. Greenfield (2024). She has also directed “The Poetry Panacea” by Amy Losi at the
Flea Theater as part of the Rogue Festival, and “Halfway Through the Wood” by Amy Losi in the Chain One-Act Festival (2024). Laurie would like to take this opportunity to thank Amy, Amanda
and Dolan for their hard work and dedication to this project, and to Amy for the opportunity to direct this wonderful and thought-provoking play.
